Mind Blowing Budget Eyeshadows

After much hype around these eyeshadows on YouTube, I had to give these a try.  At such a low price point, I expected the eyeshadows to be very similar to Wet n Wild – pigmented, buttery, but with heavy fall out.

I was wrong.

The Colour Pop Mink Society Night Out Palette comes with 4 Super Shock Eye Shadows: Girly, Get Lucky, On The Rocks, and Roulette.  Essentially, they’re pressed pigments, but BETTER.

I guess the closest products I could compare it to are the L’Oreal Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadows or Chanel Illusion D’Ombre where the texture is slightly moist, but the Super Shocks are more bouncy to touch.

For the most part, the shadows are very pigmented with one swipe.  Girly looked a little chalky on my skin tone and I had to build up the shadow to get it to its true color.  I found that using my fingers gave the most payoff and once it’s packed onto the lid, I used a blending brush to smooth out the edges.

Not exactly an everyday makeup palette, but like the name suggests, it’s great for a night out.  For the makeup lover that loves more high impact looks, you’re going to want to check this brand out.

All in all, I’m super impressed with the quality of the eyeshadows and I can’t wait to purchase even more (among many others, I’ve got my eye on Too Shy or Ibiza).  There are multiple finishes available and at $5 each, it’s a win-win situation.
