This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Panasonic. The opinions and text are all mine.
It starts with the basics.
When it comes to damaged dry hair, I know a thing or two on how to keep my hair feeling soft.
I’ve been getting my hair bleached for years now and I have to thank the many hairstylists that helped me along the way because there’s no turning back when your hair is over processed — the key is to bleach hair gradually!
Anyway, one of the questions I get a lot is how I take care of my hair and how I keep my balayage hair soft. I’m really lazy when it comes to hair maintenance so I keep my hair care short and simple. Keep reading if you’d like to know more!
Choose the right shampoo & conditioner
This all depends on your hair’s needs and will take some trial and error before you find the right pair your hair loves. You’ll know when it’s a match because your hair will feel more manageable and soft. It also doesn’t have to be expensive, in fact — I have a bunch of drugstore faves that my hair absolutely loves.

Deep condition often
Every time I wash my hair, you can bet that I’ll be deep conditioning too. There are only a handful of regular conditioners that can make my hair soft, so I end up resorting to a deep conditioner, like this Aussie deep conditioner, that I know will give me silky smooth strands. Make sure you wash it out completely because any residue will leave your hair feeling the opposite of silky.

Air dry your hair
I try to air dry my hair fully as often as I can, but on days I cannot, I’ll still let my hair air dry for as long as possible before I blow dry my hair.
If you’re in a hurry, rough dry your hair with your blow dryer at a low heat and medium speed to minimize damage.

Blow Dryer
Invest in a hair dryer especially if you have a lot of hair or blow dry your hair often. Choose one that comes with hair-saving smart features like multiple heat settings, a cool shot, and the technology to dry your hair quicker to minimize damage. I’ve been using the Panasonic nanoe Hair Dryer lately and makes my hair feel softer and smoother. Panasonic’s nanoe technology takes the moisture from the air and creates tiny, moisture rich nanoe particles that hold nearly 1,000x more moisture than regular ions. These tiny particles are infused into your hair to help keep hair hydrated.

Styling Product/Heat Protectant
Whenever I get my hair done at a salon, my stylists always put some sort of styling product or heat protectant on my hair before my blowout. It makes a huge difference in how my hair styles and how my hair feels.

Choose the right round brush
Most stylists will choose a round brush for a blowout, but your hair type will determine the type of round brush you need. For fine hair, choose a ceramic round brush for volume and bounce, but for thick and frizzy hair, choose a round brush with boar bristle.
For extra smooth strands, use a Concentrator Nozzle with the Panasonic nanoe hair dryer and point the nozzle downwards as you round brush your hair.

Smoothing or Moisturizing Serum
When you’re all done styling your hair, smooth serum in areas where you are really dry (i.e. your ends). I find that using a finishing serum keeps my hair feeling softer longer.
