100% Pure Sex Kitten, Mermaid, and Punk Princess Palettes Review & Swatches (c/o)
I’ve got three palettes to show you today, especially to all you green cosmetic lovers out there!
If you’re new to 100% Pure, all its cosmetics are free of artificial colors, fragrances, or other synthetic chemical preservatives. In my opinion, it’s hard to find green makeup products that really deliver and 100% Pure has a good range of products that are comparable to a lot of traditional makeup products. Not to mention, their skin care range is amaaaaze.
I was really excited to receive these three palettes to review and after trying them, I think they’re all great palettes to create day and night looks with.
The Sex Kitten Palette is my favorite out of all three, since I found it the most versatile for my skin tone.
All shades, but the blush, have some sort of shimmer. The highlighter (Sexy) has a subtle sheen and is not super frosty like a lot of popular highlighters. It’s buildable in case you want to amp it up for the night time but also really pretty in one layer during the day.
I think the Mermaid Palette is pretty too, but the colors aren’t as vibrant as the other palettes. I think this palette would be great for someone who wants to start playing with color without going too bold. A great holiday palette to bring if you’ll be on vacation this winter!
All shades have some sort of shimmer in it. The highlighter (Siren) is great for someone with a tan skin tone and looks just as pretty mixed with the blush (Coral). You can even use Siren or Coral as eyeshadows for more looks!
Something to note is Starfish and Private Show (from the Punk Princess Palette) are also a little similar.
For the smoky eye lover, this is a great palette to get. Private Show looks sooo similar to a cult favorite, MAC’s Satin Taupe. I find that this type of shade looks great on almost any skin tone.
Acoustic and Private Show were more powdery than the others when I tried to build it up, but not a big deal for me since it can easily be brushed away without ruining the rest of my face. The shadows in this palette are shimmery as well. I kinda wish there was a transition shade available, but I can always grab whatever bronzer I have on hand.
Verdict? I think these palettes are a great option if you are interested in green cosmetics or prefer a more natural look. The shadows can get powdery with fall down, so for maximum payoff, I’d definitely recommend wearing an eyeshadow primer or layering it with a cream eyeshadow underneath. The shades in each palette are complimentary so it’s easy to make tons of looks and the colors also work for a wide range of skin tones.
All three of these 100% Pure palettes are available at 100percentpure.com for $48 + 2 free brushes. There are also great holiday gift sets available too (like these nail and lips sets) for 20% off!

These are so pretty! It’s amazing how they get this level of color without using artificial coloring. Is it all mineral based?

I know, crazy right?! It does have mica in it, but according to the ingredients, it contains vitamins, essential oils, and a ton of veggie and fruit pigments.
