Ciate Olivia Palermo Fall 2015 Collection Review & Swatches (c/o)
In my eyes, whatever Olivia Palermo touches, turns to gold.
In Olivia’s fall collection with Ciate, she picked perfect autumnal colors that suit a large range of skin tones, all while keeping to her sophisticated style.
For example, this stunning oxblood nail polish (called Napa Valley) is one nail polish I know I’ll keep reaching for every fall season. Just like her previously released nail polishes, the finish is opaque, glossy, and easy to apply with its wide rounded brush.
Her Cheekbone Cheat Blusher Bronzer Duos are also beautifully packaged and I love that the bronzer in this duo is matte and cool-toned enough to get those Olivia P cheekbones. On my skin tone, the contour shade is really subtle and natural, which is great for my everyday use.
Both Cheekbone Cheat Blusher Bronzer Duos contain different shades and I think are both universal for all seasons. I’ve been reaching for the (right) since I love berry tones for fall.
The Smoked Out Gel Kohl Liners are super creamy and like the name suggests, great for smoking out. I wouldn’t use it if I was planning on creating a crisp line (it would smudge like crazy on me), but the brush on the end makes it easy to create a simple smoky eye or as a base for eyeshadow for a more intense smoky eye.
Tip: the Fig shade is particularly beautiful for brown eyes since it brings out golden tones.
My favorites out of the entire collection has to be the Satin Kiss Lipsticks. With one swipe, they’re pigmented, creamy, moisturizing, and smooth — everything I want in a classic lipstick formula. Truffle, a medium-toned nude, wasn’t too light for my skin tone either and was opaque enough to cover the natural pigmentation in my lips.
Bottom line? The entire collection is a winner.
