The Beauty ReviewFierce Foil by Alyson April 30, 2015 Milani Fierce Foil Lip Gloss Swatches & Review (c/o) I’m a little late, but here are two of Milani’s latest releases: the Fierce Foil Lip Gloss. These are sheer lip glosses with large cool-toned particles of glitter running through them and the collection comes in 6 shades, ranging from a red to mostly pinks and nudes. At first glance, they kinda reminded me of the Mac Dazzleglasses I used to love, but the glitter particles are much chunkier in Milani’s Fierce Foil Gloss and it look like it shines one dimensionally. The glosses are heavily scented as well – if you like buttercream vanilla frosting, you’re gonna love smelling these glosses all day. I’d stay away from these if strong scents make you a bit queazy. The doe foot applicator is flexible and rounded, making application more comfortable than those cheapy ones without a cushion around the plastic. Formula was not too sticky and felt ok on the lips. The overall affect is sheer with chunks of glitter, so don’t expect too much payoff. They’re not glosses I’d wear on its own, especially Venice. There’s not much to say about wear time except that it’s average, but I will say that glitter particles linger for a while after the gloss wears off. Out of the two, I’d definitely wear Sardinia over Venice. I tried using Venice over a lipstick, but the tone of the glitter was too overpowering. If I tried Florence, I think that one would have been a winner for me. For those who love glitter, give these a try and I’d recommend picking up shades that are warmer than you’re used to. The glitter gives a cooler tone to the lip gloss that may not always be the most flattering. For those who like mattes and creams, you’re better off trying other lip glosses from Milani.
