Wet n Wild Velvet Matte Lip 2015 Review & Swatches (c/o)
I’ve got more Spring releases from Wet n Wild for you today: the Wet n Wild Velvet Matte Lips.
I got really excited getting these because lip crayons are so easy to use!
The Wet n Wild Velvet Matte Lips applied evenly on my arm but they weren’t completely matte. They’re semi-sheer with a slight sheen and feel really balmy.
The lip crayons came packaged wrapped in perforated plastic (which I HATE, they drive me nuts! haha) and the lipstick itself in the crayon was poorly packaged. 80% of the time, the lipstick fell out of the crayon when I opened it. Thankfully, they didn’t leave a mark on my clothes it fell on.
Half the shades applied decently on my lips while the rest were a waste of production. If you’re looking for a drugstore matte, these are definitely NOT it. Nude Muse, Pinky Candy, and Transcendence barely showed up on my lips and were patchy in color. Kreamsicle Kitty and The Stand Out looked absolutely horrendous on me, but are fun shades for those who can pull it off.
My favorites that I’ll continue to wear (even if they aren’t matte) are Timeless Chick and Plumgenue.
The Wet n Wild Velvet Matte Lip Collection can be found at your local Walgreens for $3.49.
