Glitter makes everything better!
(Wearing Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow shadow in Diamond Dust)
The holidays are in full swing, aren’t they? I’m in Los Angeles in 80-degree weather, but I’m still in the spirit. Nothing quite like shopping at The Grove next to a giant Christmas tree while getting a tan, am I right?
One of my favorite things about the holiday season is that it gives me an excuse to wear glitter. Don’t get me wrong, you don’t need a reason to wear glitter. If you want to wear it, wear it! But for me, all the parties and celebrations give me that extra nudge to break out extra sparkly products. Today, I’ll be sharing with you 5 of my favorite products to add a little extra sparkle to any makeup look!
Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner
Do you love the look of glitter but hate the mess it makes? Same. I know that when I use loose glitter products, I often find glitter on myself for roughly seven years afterward. These glitter liners from Urban Decay are the absolute easiest way to wear glitter. It has a brush applicator, making it easy to add glitter on top of an eye look, on the inner corner, or as a liner. And there’s no fallout! They make 13 different shades, but my personal favorite is Midnight Cowboy – it’s a sparkly beige-gold.

Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder
The Diamond Glow Powders from Artist Couture are finely milled, ultra shimmery loose powders that can be used anywhere on the body. It’s definitely not an everyday highlight for me, but it’s my great for when I want to be seen from outer space. The powder is gorgeous on the eyes. Another way to add an insane glow is to mix the powder in with your favorite body lotion or oil, slather yourself in it, and look like a goddess.

ColourPop Supernova Shadow
ColourPop is one of my favorite brands for high quality, affordable products. The brand recently released these Supernova Shadows. They are extremely intense, metallic, glittery liquid eyeshadows. The shadows can be used as a base for other shadows, but honestly, they’re so beautiful and have such intense pigmentation that I like them best on their own. If you’re looking for a highly pigmented metallic shadow with a splash of glitter, look no further!

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow
The internet/social media basically broke when Stila released these liquid eyeshadows a few months ago. I totally understand why. These shadows are another really easy way to incorporate a little glitz into your look. The shades range from sheer glitters to shades with ultra metallic bases and sparkly finishes. One of my favorite shades is Diamond Dust, a sheer silver with silver and multicolor glitter. It’s so easy to dab a bit of the product over an eyeshadow to add sparkle or sweep under the lower lash line.

NYX #GlitterGoals Kit
Uh-oh, loose glitter. Worry not, my friends! This limited-edition kit from NYX comes with their Glitter Primer in addition to three beautiful glitters, so your sparkle will stay in place. If you don’t want to go for the kit, NYX sells both products in larger sizes separately. The shade range they have is spectacular. I love going over a black gel liner with the primer and glitter to make my wings a little more fun. Okay, a lot more fun.
