Which one is right for you?
Disclaimer: I was blessed with naturally long lashes. So the only problem I had with my lashes were that they were also naturally straight. So, I tried out both a lash perm and lash extensions and found which technique worked best for me.
Keeping scrolling down to find out which one I liked best!

After having both a lash perm and lash extensions, I knew which technique I liked better for my lifestyle. As someone who doesn’t wear makeup that often, I preferred the way a lash perm looked because it was more natural. I also liked that a lash perm lasted longer and faded gracefully. With lash extensions, the maintenance routine was a little too much work for me. It was difficult to work around the lashes when washing my face and harder to remove eye makeup.
The lash perm and lash extensions are very different techniques, so they will work differently for every person. Here are the pros and cons I found for each technique so you can decide which process you might like to try!
Lash Perm
Good for: naturally long lashes, straight lashes, low-maintenance gals, mascara lovers
Pros
Perm can last for 6-8 weeks
Diminishes gracefully
Natural finish
You can still wear mascara!
Easy to wash your face and lashes
Application process takes less than an hour
Cons
Not as dramatic as lash extensions
Doesn’t make a big difference on short lashes
Mascara routine isn’t eliminated

Lash Extensions
Good for: short lashes, monolids, falsie lovers, customizable length/curl/volume
Pros
Dramatic effect
You get to skip mascara!
Adds volume to your lashes
Adds length to your lashes
You can choose your style of lashes!
Cons
Application process takes upwards of an hour
High-maintenance routine
Difficult to remove eye makeup
Needs a fill every 2-3 weeks
Lash extensions twist and tangle as they begin to fall out
