Guess what’s back?
Glossy lips are back in and, to be honest, I’m thrilled. I loved and still love the look of matte lips, but I can’t say the same for the way they feel. Now that lip gloss is having a moment, my lips have sweet, sweet relief. Here are some of my absolute favorite glosses to perfect your pout.

The Butter Glosses from NYX are a fantastic affordable option. They come in an array of shades, from light nudes like Fortune Cookie (pictured), to deep vampy shades like Devils Food Cake. While the colors may vary, the formula doesn’t. These glosses are extremely smooth and comfortable. I thought of myself as a strictly lipstick kinda chick, but that’s because I associated all lip glosses with being uncomfortable and with my hair getting stuck to my lips. Yeah, no thanks. These glosses have a nice touch of color, but if you want even more pigmentation, NYX also makes the Intense Butter Glosses.

Oh, look! Another affordable lip gloss option for you. As is true for most other products from ColourPop, their Ultra Gloss Lip formula comes in a wide selection of shades and finishes – sheer, crème and even metallic. The more pigmented shades go on nice and opaque, like Aquarius (pictured), while the sheer finishes make the lips look super juicy. This gloss is another comfortable one to wear.
I don’t hear very many people talk about these glosses from Tarte very much, so I’m here to spread the word. I was a little worried that this product was going to be overly sticky because it is thick, but it feels amazing on the lips. The formula has concentrated mineral pigments in it allowing for smooth, opaque color. I have the shade, Goals, which is a gorgeous rosy nude.

4. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
I saved the best for last. I love all of the products I mentioned but this gloss is absolute perfection. It only comes in one shade, Fenty Glow, which is a stunning shimmering rose nude. I love that Rihanna put so much into making her brand inclusive of all skin tones. This gloss will look amazing on anyone and everyone. It makes my lips look instantly smoother and fuller, and is also extremely comfortable to wear because there’s shea butter in the formula. It smells fantastic, too – it reminds me of the Lip Smackers I used to wear as a kid. I cannot sing this gloss’ praises enough.
5. Woosh Beauty Spin-On Lip Gloss
Woosh Beauty is a newer makeup brand that can be purchased on their website or at Ulta. My absolute favorite products from there are their Spin-On Glosses. They come in eight different shades – mostly nudes with some pops of brighter pink and peach. I love how comfortable these feel on the lips, thanks to the shea butter. These come in handy when I’m in a rush but still want to look put together and polished, because they add a hint of color, a lot of shine, they fade nicely and are easy to reapply. The shade I’ve pictured is Glam Peach, which adds a nice shimmery, pink tint to the lips.
