100% Pure Lipstick in Melon Swatches & Review(c/o)

I love to try to support vegan cosmetic brands in any way I can and if they’re local, that’s even better!  What I find so interesting is that they use dye from fruits and vegetables…wow.

I’ve only seriously tried their nail polishes (which I reviewed here), so I was more than interested to see how their makeup products performed.

On the site, the lipstick really differed from real life.  Maybe it’s my monitor, but I thought it was going to be more of a coral/orangey shade, but I think this might work for me…I just have to find the right look and occasion to wear it!

The lipstick comes in a small cardboard tube that encases the actual lipstick.  I’m not a fan of their packaging in general, but I did like the unique rose colored metallic case.

For those who are extra sensitive, it also doesn’t have any fragrances however I did notice a very very faint lipstick-y smell.

The texture of this lipstick is really smooth and moisturizing.  Although I wouldn’t wear this shade for a natural/everyday makeup look, the formula itself is super comfortable for everyday wear.  The lipstick was also more opaque than I thought it would be.  Because of the natural color of my lips, I could see it peaking through in a greyish tint, but it didn’t bother me that much.
