bareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm Review & Swatches (c/o)
I don’t know about you, but there are some days where I don’t even want to bother with lip gloss or lip balm, I just need a good ol’ lip balm.
Last Spring, bareMinerals came out with this line of Lip Oil-Balms for when you need to slap on a moisturizing lip product without a mirror.
These tinted lip balms instantly reminded me of Revlon Lip Butters, they’re not exactly tinted like most lip balms, but these bareMinerals swipe on more color and get more vibrant on the lips as time wears on. These leave a popsicle looking stain on the lips (except for Peach Passion on me) that wear off beautifully.
There is more slip to the Lip Oil-Balms than most regular lip balms and it felt really moisturizing on my lips.
I’d recommend exfoliating your lips or at least removing large patches of dry skin from the lips because I found that these Lip Oil-Balms clinged to the dry patches and stained it more so than the rest of my lips (see below).
While I loved the look of Punch Pop (which looks more pink on me than the actual bullet) and Tangerine Pop, Peach Passion was clearly the dud out of the three. It settled into my lip lines and it was just too light for me. I didn’t find it staining at all and I couldn’t bear to wear it in public, so I took it off immediately. The other two, however, I’ve been enjoying wearing. I plan on bringing one of them to a music festival this coming weekend!
The bareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm is available for $16 in 8 shades at bareMinerals.com, Sephora, Nordstrom, and Ulta.

Oh wow these looks so moisturizing! I never had thought to think much of lip products w/oil but after trying a deluxe sample from Sephora of YSL’s Tint-In-Oil I’ve been wanting to try more products like it!

Tangerine and Punch Pop are fabulous. I love the sounds of an Oil-balm because that’s what my lips badly need all the time! I can see how the lightest shade clings to the dry areas and stain it more than others but I love how the other two look! I totally would love to have one!

While I’ve been embracing the matte deep lip for fall (even though the temperates are being a bit difficult, ahem humidex), I’m a sucker for a good tinted lip balm. I’ve been debating about buying these, but I’m so in love with the Clarins and Fresh ones, I haven’t actually veered out of that comfort zone yet. These do sound amazing!
