Great question. As a beauty blogger, I can totally understand how buying makeup can put a major dent in your wallet! More often than not, I look at my basket and wonder how I ended up with so much stuff! Although I love high-end makeup, I truly believe that you can get good quality makeup on a budget and there’s no reason to spend a fortune when there’s amazing makeup at your local drugstore. Here are the best drugstore makeup brands IMO:
- NYX: When it comes to on-trend makeup, NYX is my go-to makeup brand. This brand is very in-tune with beauty bloggers and knows what’s current. NYX has a very wide product selection and chances are, you can find a good dupe for more expensive on-trends brands like ABH.
- L’Oreal: Owned by the same company as makeup brands like YSL, L’Oreal has good high-end classic dupes like the Magic Lumi Highlighting Highlighter (Touche Eclat dupe). Their products are pretty solid and have great basics for your makeup collection. This brand understands skin tones too, so I love that I can find a product that fits me.
- Maybelline: For mascaras, which need to be changed pretty often, Maybelline carries my favorites: Lash Stiletto and The Falsies. I’m also impressed with Maybelline’s newer products like the Fit Me foundation (lovely tones and comes in two finishes) and the Vivid Matte Liquid lipstick.
