Borghese Summer 2015 Review (c/o)
I haven’t worn olive eyeshadows in forever! But you know what? I’m kinda liking it.
Borghese’s Summer collection is inspired by the season’s cheerful mood and surroundings.
I ended up only like four objects out of the 7 products: Eclissare 5 Shades of Fresh, Superiore Mascara, Eclissare Colorise Blush in Flight, and Eclissare Colorglass Lip Gloss in Guilt.
The eyeshadow palette was pigmented, especially Sass. Sass’s quality rivaled Urban Decay’s butteriness, shimmer, pigmentation and fall out. It swatched beautifully and the shimmer really showed on the lids. I didn’t care too much for both Wild and Tender being in the palette, both shades showed up very similar on my skin tone.
The Superiore Mascara was also nice. The brush and packaging was a little old school and it did an average job at lengthening and volumizing. It kept a curl really well and it had to do with it being waterproof.
I mistakingly used the Eclissare Colorise Blush as a bronzer and used it all over my face. Bronzer or not, I thought it gave a really nice “just tanned” look. The reddish brown mimics a fresh tan!
The Eclissare Colorglass Lip Gloss in Guilt was absolutely gorgeous in the tube. I was a little disappointed with the dispensing though, it took FOREVER to get enough gloss out to apply on the lips. I had to apply gloss on the back of my hand about 5 times to get enough gloss to apply in the middle of my lips.
Overall, I’m really liking the olive eyeshadows this Summer and I have Borghese to thank!
I wouldn’t say this collection is a must-have but they certainly are nice to have if you’re looking for a different look besides bronzes this summer.
The Borghese 2015 Summer Collection ranges from $19.50 to $30 and is available at borghese.com, Bloomingdales, Amazon, Drugstore.com, and Beauty.com.
