Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow
After much chatter on the UK blogs and vlogs about how amazing Charlotte Tilbury‘s entire range is, it finally reached the US and I am thrilled. I’ve been a fan of Charlotte Tilbury‘s work for a while now and I’ve always admired how she has mastered the red carpet look. You already know how much I love to contour and bronze, so naturally this had to be the first product I picked up.
First up, the packaging. The compact is incredibly luxe and feels super sturdy. I especially love the vintage feel of it and I can’t even tell you how much I love that it’s rose gold. The unboxing was quite a process, but I do like how she incorporated some tricks in it. With a hefty price tag of $65, I’m glad she put in a lot of thought into the experience of opening the product.
There is warm shimmer in both the sculpting powder and highlighter and both apply onto the skin beautifully. Blending is really easy and pigmentation is great. Cool-toned highlighters can be a bit tricky with my skin tone, so I love that the highlighter is on the warmer side so it creates a warm glow on my skin. The shimmer in the scupting powder made me a bit weary of how it would look on my face, but the shimmer isn’t overpowering and definitely doesn’t make me look like a grease ball. I also like that the sculpting powder isn’t too red or orange, which makes it great for more “natural” contouring. My only gripe with the product is the shade of the sculpting powder. I know it barely shows up on my arm, I promise, it’s slightly more noticeable on my face. The sculpting powder is a little bit too close to my skin tone, so I find that I need to layer it to get the intensity that I want. Hopefully she’ll bring out more shades down the line! So for the ladies that really really like to contour, you’ll have to take this palette for what it is, just for the subtle contouring. But I think it’d be great for those who like to keep it more on the natural side. Although I won’t be using it for GNOs, I think this palette would be perfect for date night or when I head off to a special occasion.
Have you tried the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow? What do you think?

I want this sooo so so badly! Now that you mentioned it, I never thought about the bronzing shade being a little light, I really hope she comes up with another B&G at least 2 shades darker. So jealous of you right now, the packaging is to die for!!

I think it’s so funny that we both bought this as one of our first products from the line & wrote about them the same week. Great minds think alike 😉
