Ciate London Precious Metal Eyeshadow Swatches & Review (c/o)
It makes me sad to hear that in other places of the world, summer is ending but where I live it’s been sweltering with heat. Not going to lie, the 100+ F temperature does makes me not want to go outside, but knowing that El Nino is coming, I’m going to try to enjoy the warmth and extend my summer as much as I can, even with my makeup.
I’ve had a good play around with these Ciate Precious Metal Eyeshadows and there’s no denying how beautiful the shimmer is.
The Precious Metal Eyeshadows are part of the South Beach Socialite collection with shades to compliment or enhance that summer glow.
The top lid flips up into an eyeshadow primer before you lay down the pigment on the lids. The primer is much more solid than others that I’m used to, you really have to warm up the primer to get it to apply evenly all over the lid. This primer is not my all time favorite, but overall, the primer itself is pretty good and helped with the eyeshadow’s longevity.

As you can see here, the finish is stunning and foil-like. When wet, it’s even more intense!
Washington Ave looked the most complex and immediately became my favorite. It has a mixture of copper and pink, but I found that you have to build up the color or apply it wet to get it to the color in the pot. The rest of the shades had no problem with pigmentation at all, which you can totally see in my finger swatches.
Highly recommend these products if you love foil-like shimmer and love wearing bronzy tones like me.
The Ciate London Precious Metal Eyeshadows are available for $28 each at CiateLondon.com and Sephora.com.

Those shades look absolutely gorgeous! I’m loving the looks of Collins Ave and Lincoln Road. I’ve yet to try anything from the Ciate range, but I’ve heard great things about the makeup line. And the packaging is adorable!

Ocean drive and Lincoln drive just have me drooling over here!! TELL ME ABOUT IT (THE HEAT I MEAN)! Singapore is hot and humid all year round but june and july has been extra terribly hot, to the point that I HAD to switch to wearing gel eyeliner if I wanted my wing not to just magically vanish by the end of the day due to me dabbing at my sweat all over my forehead and face! I love these bronzy, pinky tones, they remind me of the strips of colors from a bronzer from sleek that I have which I’ve been using mostly as eyeshadows!

Omigosh, I’d be melting if I was in Singapore! In California, our heat is pretty dry, so I can’t even imagine how it’s like with the humidity too!!
