City Color Be Matte Blushes
Toasted Coconut | Papaya | Guava
Blood Orange | Fresh Melon | Pink Grapefruit | Blackberry
If you haven’t tried City Color Be Matte Blushes*, ya need to. Hands down, it’s one of my favorite budget blushes and the colors are so pretty for the Summer! With one swipe of a brush or a finger, this blush is seriously pigmented. 99% of the time, I tap off most of the excess from the brush before I apply and the blush is buildable if you want a more dramatic look.
All the shades are completely matte, except for Blackberry, which can be easily fixed with a bit of blending. There are a total of 8 shades in this range (I’m missing Dragonfruit) and I’m hoping they come out with more, since I think they need more muted and Fall shades to make the collection more well rounded.
Toasted Coconut was one of my first blushes from City Color and as you can see, it’s well loved. It’s great as a contour and a bronzer (in moderation), so for the fairer ladies, they have a Be Matte Bronzer range where they offer lighter shades.
My skin is more on the combination oily side, so touching up for me is needed at the end of the day. I also wish that the packaging was slightly sturdier since the cover of Toasted Coconut broke off. If traveling, I’d recommend wrapping the blush to make sure it’s properly cushioned since they can crumble if dropped. But for the price, it’s an amazing blush to have if you are on a budget. It’s HIGHLY affordable at only $3.99!!!!

I love how Blood Orange & Blackberry look on the skin. I definitely ought to give these a go! :] // itsCarmen.com ☼
YES, get it! They’re such a good price and you can’t go wrong!
Love the Guava one! Have you tried the new Tarte cheek stain, the energy one that customizes a perfect shade of pink (apparently)? I just ordered it and I’m excited to give it a try.
