Have you ever tried giving yourself a blow out? Not easy. I’ve tried watching YouTube videos, but since my hair is sooo long, I only “blow out” (aka round brush just my roots and curl the ends with a curling iron) my front sections and leave the back. In comes Drybar, a convenient salon that just provides blowouts/styling with the perks of being pampered. So even if you’re in need of a blowout for a special occasion or just want some “me” time, the experience there makes it all worth it.
I paid a visit to my local Drybar recently and let me just say that the location is absolutely gorgeous. Drybar branding is EVERYWHERE (how genius is a hair dryer chandelier!?) and the salon is so light and airy. This particular location is on Santana Row, so in the middle of shopping, you and your friends can hop in for a quick appointment to get gorgeously blown out locks. Refreshments are complimentary and they even have some yummy snackage too! Each station is also equipped with phone chargers (um, how cool is that!?) and let’s not forget the large TV playing an awesomely girly movie.
Drybar has a catalogue of looks to choose from, making it SUPER easy to choose what I liked best. Drybar doesn’t only do blowouts, but can also do updos as well, which makes Drybar perfect for prom season! My style of choice? The Mai-Tai, a messy beachy hair style. So after choosing my style, my hair was washed and styled mostly with Drybar products (which smell so yummy btw) and then is blown out with a round brush for some extra volume. All products used on my hair focused on volume and staying power and to create that beachy look, my hair was curled away from my face with The 3-Day Bender 1.25” Curling Iron.

Ta-da! What do you think?
My hair stayed voluminous and curly for DAYS. Highly recommend for those who want a quick no frills blowout or a party with your closest girl friends before GNO. Don’t let the rain slow you down either…they give you a complimentary umbrella to protect your freshly styled coif!

Miche from Buttons and Birdcages
haha, that’s how I felt when I got the Mai-Tai too! But it’s always nice to feel pampered while your hair get done
Well firstly, congrats on reaching 100 followers!!! Very exciting
Second, I would pick the Cosmo-Tai because it’s what I wish I could do to my hair every day.. definitely a style I can’t achieve on my own :(. I’m so jel because all I ever want done is a blowout, $35 is so affordable! I looked and there aren’t any Drybar’s around me now or where I’m moving to in a month, so I’ll have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that they eventually decide to open one up! It looks so awesome in there!

Aw, thank you Katrina. We need to have a hair date soon! xx
Love the mai tai!!
Your hair looks amazing! I have very curly hair, and have never been able to (successfully) do my own blow out, meaning it looks like a puffy, frizzy mess at the end. I think I would get the Cosmo, if (when) I go!
