Happy Monday! Apologies for being a little MIA lately, classes began last week and I am super swamped and overwhelmed with everything going on. Please bare with me as I try to get my life together haha.
My Pinterest nail board is full of nail designs and I’ve been seeing for a while now how there are multiple nail designs in one mani. You know me, I try to stick with plain manis or a super easy nail design, so those types of manis were something I’ve admired from afar.
To take a break from all the papers and reading, I decided to try this nail design out with Essie Chinchilly. Usually I stay pretty clear of light grays, but there’s something about this one that I’m loving!
To do this mani, you’ll need Essie Chinchilly, any gold glittery polish (I used Zoya Ziv), gold nail studs (600 pieces for $2.00!), and gold nail tape (30 rolls for $2.19!). I feel like this isn’t really a tutorial because I basically stuck things on and painted haha.
But, I will say that be sure to apply the studs right when you paint a layer on. This way, it has something to stick to and then I seal it in using Seche Vite. As for the nail tape, I’d wait for the polish to completely dry. I made the mistake of thinking it was dry and the tape applied on pretty crooked so I had to do some major fixing around the smudged polish. Nail tape is not easy for me to work with since it peeled off in the next two days (even with a tope coat), so if you have any tips, I’d love to hear!

Nail polish always peels off from my nails too, so I have absolutely no tips, lol. But I do love this design, esp. since I’m a fan of gray nails. Will have to get those strips.

Love this nail art…fun, but still subdued enough for everyday! I’ve never tried this nail tape, but I have used painted scotchtape…your way seems MUCH easier!
