Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder Brilliant Review & Swatches (c/o)
Whenever Hourglass comes out with a new product, you can bet that I get super excited about it.
There are 4 shades available in this product line: Brilliant Strobe Light (gold), Euphoric Strobe Light (beige), Incandescent Strobe Light (pearl), Iridescent Strobe Light (pink).
The powder is really finely milled with bits of glitter in it and when it’s swatched, the effect is natural, not metallic. It blends really easily into the skin, so there is a lot of control over how intense you want the highlight. The product is developed with Photoluminescent Technology to soften and refine the look of your skin.
Think Ambient Lighting Powders taken up a notch.
For me, this highlighter is what you want to use every day. The blendability of the powder provides a really subtle glow without looking over the top.
If a more intense highlighter is up your alley, try it wet. However, if you’re looking for a Becca type highlighter, the Hourglass highlighter isn’t for you.
(unblended)
Since I prefer my highlighters on the stronger side, I chose Brilliant since it was the lightest in the product line and I loved the golden undertones. I suggest trying the highlighters out in-store though, I’m kinda wishing I had Euphoric instead.
The Ambient Strobe Lighting Powders are available for $38 at HourglassCosmetics.com, Sephora, and Nordstrom. The Ambient Strobe Sculptor is also available for $22.
