HOURGLASS Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil Review (c/o)
The HOURGLASS Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil has been out for a while now and I’ve just gotten around to trying it. There are 9 shades to choose from, 6 of which are new.
- PLATINUM BLONDE (NEW): Lightest cool blonde/platinum
- BLONDE: Light to medium neutral blonde
- WARM BLONDE (NEW): Dark blonde/strawberry blonde
- AUBURN (NEW): Medium to deep red tones
- SOFT BRUNETTE: Light to medium cool brown
- WARM BRUNETTE (NEW): Warm medium brown
- DARK BRUNETTE: Deep brown with warm undertones
- ASH (NEW): Gray/dark brown with cool undertones
- NATURAL BLACK (NEW): Darkest brown to black
This time, I decided to play it safe and go for Soft Brunette.
Lately, I’ve been using a combination between a powder and a pomade, so doing my brows is not time efficient when I’m using two products and in a hurry. With the HOURGLASS pencil, it’s a powder, pencil and wax in one that’s buildable in color.
At first I wasn’t sure of the consistency and tone, but sure enough, it was able to help keep my brows in shape and the ashy tones helped to make my brows look natural. The triangular tip helped to create a natural fullness without looking too perfect.
Very handy that a spoolie is on the other end to brush through my brow hairs for an even more natural look.
In theory, I do like the HOURGLASS Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil and it’s about time that more shades were released. It kept my hairs in place, has a natural color, and creates a fuller looking brow. However, I’m in the process of growing my brows, so right now, the pencil wasn’t precise enough for the ends of my brows (which I like to be sharp). I like the inner part of my eyebrows softer and lighter, so this pencil was perfect for that.
I think this pencil would work best for those who already have full brows and need some light filling in or for those who have well groomed brows that don’t need much shaping from products.
