How To Keep Hair Fresh During Travel
Ciao!
I’m currently on the way to Genoa via bus typing this blog post to you because I just had to share with you what I’ve been up to. I’ve been on-the-go this past week, jumping from one city to the next by bus and train and have learned SO much already for my next European vacation. LMK if this is something that you’d be interested in because getting around can be super confusing, especially when you don’t speak the language!
Anyway, because the bf and I are on a time crunch in each city, my beauty routine is different from the usual. I definitely don’t have time to put on a full face of makeup or have the luxury to do my hair everyday. It’s also been pretty warm in Italy, so combined with the sun and sweat, sometimes my hair doesn’t look so hot midday and the Airbnb is just too far away for a touch up!
Prior to my trip, Living Proof kindly sent me some products to try and I also got to test out the products at NYFW when I paid a visit to Blackstones. Since I’ve already tested these out in both humidity and dry heat, let me tell you: IT WORKS.
Because my hair is thick and long, my hair can fall flat and get oily fast, so these Living Proof products have been essentials on my vacation so far! Having a million things to see, I don’t have the time wash my hair everyday (plus, it’d fade my hair fast), so having the Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast is super handy.
With the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo, this combination is THE BEST I’ve ever had at combating flat and oily hair.
For a midday or end of day hair touch-up, here’s what I’ve been doing:
Apply Sunblock for Hair
If you read my NYFW Day 1 post, you’ll know that I just got my hair dyed, so the Restore Instant Protection protects my hair from the sun to keep it from fading. My hair tends to get brassy quick, so spraying this on liberally on my hair is a must for me!
Spray Dry Shampoo
Shake the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo can well and hold it about 6-10 inches away from dry hair and apply it in sections to oily areas. I like to focus on the crown and let it sit for a while (for at least 30 seconds, but I do it for even longer) before I massage it into my hair. Brush it out if you still see any residue and also make sure to shake the can between each section.
Use Volumizing Spray
Just like dry shampoo, shake the Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast and hold the can about 10 inches away. Spray in sections from root to tip and muss up hair for even more volume. I also like to take each section and lay it flat opposite over my head to get extra volume. At NYFW, I also used this with a braided hairstyle and I found that the texture helped the braid keep together longer.

The Full Dry Volume Blast keeps my hair oil-free and full of volume and the best part is, I can reactivate the volume by just mussing it up even more. There’s no need to keep reapplying! The technology behind the product makes the powders in the formula bigger and lighter, making your hair bigger and fuller. I also like that it doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy or too stiff.
Ah, isn’t Florence beautiful?! I reactivated the Full Dry Volume Blast just before I took this picture, so you can see how amazing this product is! LOVE.
Grab Living Proof products, including the NEW Dry Volume Blast in-stores at Sephora.
Until next time guys, ciao ciao!

I have to admit that it is hard to keep the hair healthy when you don’t have all of your products with you. It is hard to take them especially when you’re flying. But at least there are some products that you can just take with you.
