Marc Jacobs Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl in Boom Boom | YSL Rouge Volupté Shine in Fuchsia in Rage | Milani Lip Intense in Violet Addict | Maybelline Lipstick in Brazen Berry
To continue yesterday’s post, the next two tips are going to help you choose what kind of bright is best for you.
Undertone: Just like the rest of your makeup, you might want to choose a shade that compliments your skin tone. If you’re yellow/olive toned, choose a lipstick with red or orangey tones and if your skin is on the pinker side, a blue-toned lipstick will suit you better. But if you’re extra brave and want to go bold, be a rebel and wear any type of lipstick you want! I really like to wear blue-toned neon pink lipsticks when I want to make a statement.
Texture: Lip textures come in all shapes and sizes – from matte, satin, or glossy, so I think it’s really important to take into consideration your comfort level and the type of look you’re going for. For example, my lips are super dry so if I’m going to be out and about all day, I really don’t want to worry about my lips looking chapped and cracked so I’ll be grab a glossy stain instead, not a matte (I hate reapplying lipstick multiple times throughout the day).
The last set of tips will be in tomorrow’s blog, happy almost weekend!
