It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eye Shadow Palette
The It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eye Shadow Palette retails for $42 and contains 14 eyeshadows and 1 transforming eyeshadow that turns the mattes into a shimmers.
I’m going to be real with you up front, I wasn’t impressed. On the brand’s site, the eyeshadow palette is claimed as matte but upon swatching it, the finish is definitely satin. The quality of the eyeshadows is powdery and does take a while to build up the lighter shades on my skin tone. Because of the texture, they also don’t last long on my lids so if you do end up buying this, an eye primer is a must!
Perhaps the most disappointing part of the palette was Transforming Pearl, which you’re supposed to add on top of the “matte” shades to transform from matte to shimmer. I found that the Transforming Pearl was honestly a waste of space in the palette and found it altered the original shade too much for my liking.
Except for the lightest shades, range of colors are nice. I don’t find many palettes with shades as warm as Sunrise and Sunset, which I love!
Packaging added to the disappointment; its structure is cardboard and the exterior feels like it’s made out of felt, which catches a lot of dirt and is not cleaned very easily.
Let’s just say if I still had my receipt, this would be going back to my local Ulta.
What about you, have you tried this palette? If so, what do you think?

It’s a shame you didn’t get along with this palette! I do think a few of the shades are pretty!

Really pretty shades! Too bad they didn’t apply as nice
for the price tag, definitely don’t like the packaging on this one!

Totally!
Meh. I also feel kinda blah about this palette. It doesn’t wow me or excite me.
I felt the same way when I saw it, but I was drawn to the nudes in the palette…next time I’ll have to listen to my gut!
Ouch, I’m so sorry to hear that! I’ve read good reviews about the brand, but I haven’t seen this palette around that much. I really don’t wear a lot of mattes though, so it’s definitely a pass for me.
Hoping that their other products will be much better than this palette! xx
Refreshing to see a review that doesn’t scream WOOHOOO about this palette. I did want this when it first came out but decided I wouldn’t use many of the shades anyway so passed on it. Thnx for the review:)
Glad I could help! xx
Love the color palette! So chic.

Ohh that’s so bad!! I’ve actually never been curious about this palette, it looks a little cheap to me, I’m a sucker for cute packaging and I know that if it looks ugly on the outside I won’t even bother trying it. Maybe if this was much less expensive it would be good, you should find your receipt and give it back, not fair for you

To be quite honest with you, I haven’t heard a LOT of great things about IT Cosmetics in general. Definitely have not heard great things, and now to hear their $42 palette is no bueno is definitely disappointing. For that price, it makes WAY more sense to snag a Lorac palette or a Naked palette. Thanks for the heads up lady!

Ada
No problemo, girl! xx
When it comes to sheer and disappointing shadows, eye primers are the best option, glad you included it. I usually like to have this problem with CHEAP shadows, the type of shadows I would buy at the dollar store out of plain curiosity on their pigmentation. I would also be really disappointed if I had this problem with a 40 dollar palette.
Although the colors are nice, they did get that right, this would not be something I would buy, and I really appreciate your review because it’s the first one I’ve seen
