Kim K Blue Smokey Eye
Stalker alert. My Instagram account is full of makeup artists and one of my favorites has to be Mario Dedivanovic. He’s such a talented makeup artist and I just stare in awe at his work sometimes…
I saw a blue smokey eye that he did on Kim K earlier this month and it was stunnnnning. I’m not usually one to do a colorful smokey eye, but I had to do it for you guys, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up.
Keep in mind I don’t have Kim’s large beautiful eyes, so I adapted the look to fit my hooded eyelids and I tried to use similar products to what Mario listed in the IG picture.
1.) Define your crease by adding a transition shade. I used a big fluffy brush to blend that into my crease and I used the colors Nectar and Light Brown from the Lorac PRO Palette 2.
2.) Use a cream eyeshadow or eyeliner in a bright blue shade all over the lid. It doesn’t have to be precise because we’re going to blend it all out. I’m using a cream on the lids to make the blue standout more when we apply the eyeshadow. Here I used the butter LONDON WINK Eye Pencil in Inky Six.
3.) After you blend out the pencil, add a shimmery bronzy shade to your crease. Here I used MAC Woodwinked.
4.) Next pat on a matte navy eyeshadow where you applied the blue pencil. I used Navy from the Lorac PRO Palette 2.
5.) Blend.
6.) For a metallic sheen, wet your brush and pack on a shimmery navy blue onto your lids and bring it up quite high onto your crease. This way, even if your eyes are open, you’ll see the blue peeking through. I used the metallic crease color in Wet n Wild Blue Had Me At Hello.
7.) Line your lower lashline with the butter LONDON WINK Eye Pencil in Inky Six and line your waterline with your favorite black liner. I used my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Peversion. Blend the blue eyeliner with the blue metallic crease color.
8.) Add your eyeliner and favorite falsies. I used NYC Liquid Eyeliner and NYX Wicked Lashes. Highlight your inner corner with Beige from the Lorac PRO Palette 2.
That’s it!

Really feeling this blue on you Alyson, really chic and eye catching! The only time I’ve wore navy was when I had it done at a NARS counter and I loved it 🙂

I absolutely love this look on you! I adore Kim K’s make up and always end up buying products that people say that she uses. Thanks for the step by step guide, I’m definitely going to try this out for myself even though I know the dark colours won’t suit me haha xx

Love this look! I’m always scared to wear blue shadow, but when it’s done right like this, it just looks stunning.
The Beauty Vanity says
Thanks, doll! Try wearing a neutral eye look and then lining your waterline with a blue eyeliner. It’s subtle and gorgeous bc it brings out your eyes, but at least it’ll get you used to wearing blue! xx

New to your blog, found you via the ColoupPop IG. Just wanted to say that I’m SO thrilled to find a smokey eye look tutorial for hooded eyes! Mine are a bit more heavily hooded than yours, but I am absolutely going to try this out-I normally just stare longingly at my colorful palettes because I’m unsure of how to make them work for me, but now I have a guide! Thank you again!

Aww, thank you doll! This made my day! I feel like hooded lids are a challenging shape to work with, so I try my best to help those with hooded lids as much as I can. If you click on “The Look” at the menu bar above, I have more looks/pictorials for you to choose from. Really appreciate you visiting and I hope you come back soon! xx

Omg, this look is freaking amazing. Love navy blues like this, it’s exactly the type of blue I love for both a smokey blue eye and also for eyeliner for the waterline! Those lashes are also just so wispy and gorgeous!
