Cherry Red

I was watching KUWTK last Sunday (don’t judge, it’s my guilty pleasure) and while I was cracking up at how uncomfy Brody was around Kim 90% of the time, I spent the other 10% admiring Kim’s makeup towards the end of the episode.  Here’s a screenshot:

Okay, so maybe I don’t look like Kim but I spent a good 5 minutes pausing the episode to study her makeup.  Let’s face it, Kardashian makeup is always on point, so I wanted to show you guys that it’s totally possible to get that flawless face with products from the drugstore.

For my base, I used my favorite drugstore foundation, the L’OREAL True Match Foundation in w4.5, really focusing on my nose and my chin.  Next, I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer Treatment in medium down the center of my nose and in a triangle formation under my eyes.  I contoured using NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder around my cheekbones and on my forehead.

The eyes were relatively simple, I noticed that Kim’s eyelids were mostly gold.  But since Kim has tons more lid space and her eyes are generally bigger than mine, I first added NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder to my crease to add some depth to my eyes.  Next, I took the darkest taupe shade from the Maybelline The Nudes Palette and blended that into my crease but focusing that more in the outer corner.  As I said above, Kim’s lids were really gold, so to create a metallic effect, I loaded up that gold shade onto a wet flat shadow brush.  On my lower lashline, I heavily smudged in the darker shimmery brown shade and took it quite low to make my eyes appear rounder.  Finally, I added a winged liner using the L’OREAL Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner and the L’OREAL Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lash Mascara to my lashes to hold the curl.  I wanted fluttery lashes for this look, so I chose the KISS ez lashes in #11 to complete the eye look.

For my brows, I generally used the matte taupes from the Maybelline The Nudes Palette and to really define the edges I used the Milani Brow Tint Pen in Dark Brown.

For my cheeks, I used my fingers to blend the NYX Cream Blush in Red Cheeks onto the apples of my cheeks.

Although super cheap, the Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color is easily one of my favorite drugstore lipsticks.  Caution, they can be drying since they are SUPER matte, but I add a little bit of lip balm underneath and I’m good to go.  It’s not coming up too clearly in the screenshot, but Kim’s lipstick was more of a cherry red rather than a super warm red and this shade was exactly what I was looking for.  Then, I powdered my face using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and that’s it!
