This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Know Cosmetics. All opinions are 100% mine.
So I have a confession.
I have a ridiculous amount of lipsticks (I’m talking drawers and drawers and no, that’s not my confession haha), and I only wear about a handful of them.
Why?
Because I’m just freakin’ lazy.
For the past two years, 90% of the time I’m either wearing a 90s mauve shade, a liquid lipstick, or lip balm. And it’s all because I HATE reapplying lipstick. I guess you could say because of my laziness, I’ve learned to adapt and find ways to get glam without spending the extra time. #lazinessFTW
I really do love all sorts of lipstick colors, but I hate dealing with the fading and the reapplication (no one wants to see a messy red lip, am I right!?).
So when I discovered products by Know Cosmetics (sold at Sephora) that says it can keep lipsticks from fading, smudging, or transferring (say what?), I was all over it.
So what is this magic potion, you ask?
The “No, My Lips Are Sealed” Lipstick Topcoat.
After you apply your lipstick of choice, shake the topcoat well and apply this transparent gel over it. Let it set for a few minutes and tada! Once it’s dry, this baby will reduce fading, smudging, and transferring.
So a few things I noticed about this topcoat:
- If you want extra staying power, blot your lipstick before you apply the topcoat and apply a VERY generous coat over your lipstick. The more you get into every nook and cranny, the more it will help your lipstick not transfer.
- It changes the texture of your lipstick slightly, but it feels hydrating and smooth.
- It’s colorless, so wipe off the applicator before placing it back in the container.
I can’t stress enough that it really pays off to take the time to make sure you coat every single part of your lips with this stuff. Trust me, it’ll pay off later when you’re at the bar, your holiday party, or just when you’re living life. Actually, this would be PERFECT to have when you’re at a NYE party. No lipstick transfer for your kiss at midnight!

Alright, so I’m off now to write the next blog post. Good night guys!
