You’ve probably seen all the hype around Kylie Jenner’s lips – are they real or are they fake? But the real question is, what products did she use and how did she do it?! (For the record, I think she uses MAC Soar)
I’ve been dancing around this look for a while and every time, it looked wrong on me. Until I realized I was overdrawing TOO much!
If you really study the pictures Kylie posts, her lip lining work goes WAY beyond her natural lip line. My lips are naturally really defined, so when it comes to lip lining, I have to be pretty precise about where I draw in a line. The trick with really defined lips is that you have to only over line at the corners of your mouth and to keep things for the most part, matte. You can even take it up a notch and use a darker nude lip liner around the edges and use a lighter one to fill it in (don’t forget to blend). It takes some getting used to, but I think I’m liking it!
Since I’m only using lip liners with this look, longevity is great and it’s an easy touch up wherever I am.

This look really suits you and your lips don’t look overdrawn at all! I really like the colours but I just can’t make them work for me, I have quite thin lips which I think just look silly when I wear dark lip colours or lip liner! xx

I think you’re rockin’ it lady it! Looks really good! I’ve definitely been getting more and more curious about the Kylie Jenner lip, but have yet to try it! Of course, the fact that Soar is sold out everywhere is just making me want it even more haha.

You did a great job, your lips look full but not overdrawn. I’m still working on the lip liner thing. I have the opposite problem, my lips aren’t well defined so trying to “freehand” a shape is tricky lol

I have to agree, it is quite tricky to try to make the shape believable when it comes to over lining. Def try doing it a little at a time!
