Laura Geller Baked Gelato Highlighter Gilded Honey Swatches & Review
Thanks to a lot of popular YouTubers right now, intense highlighters are in.
As you know, my natural “glow” comes from my oily skin so I try to only put highlighter on certain places and keep it at a minimum for daily wear…but I’m seeing this trend everywhere and I can’t stop looking for products to give me that intense glow.
Laura Geller’s Gilded Honey is a common dupe for MAC’s Whisper of Gilt (which I believe was limited edition) and it really is stunning on the skin.
As you can see, it’s basically a gold shimmery powder that I thought would be much more soft. The product is packed in pretty firmly, which keeps my brush from getting too much product.
I’ve been using a fan brush to apply this highlighter on the tops of my cheeks and down the bridge of my nose and I find that with a fan brush, it deposits the right amount. I’ve also been keeping the rest of my face pretty neutral or warm-toned to keep everything within the same color family.
The gold shimmer might not be the right shade for those fairer in complexion, but would absolutely stunning for olive or tanner skin tones.
Bottom line: I’m in love and I’ll be rocking that glow all summer long with this highlighter.
If gold isn’t your thing, Laura Geller has another pink-based highlighter in the product line.
Available for $26 at LauraGeller.com, Nordstrom, Ulta, and Beauty.com.

I hear you about having oily skin. I love the look of highlighter, but it’s virtually a science on where to put it without making your face look like an oil slick. With my fairer complexion, I’ve been loving the Hourglass highlight in the Ambient lighting palette–so pretty, but still subtle enough for the daytime!

Oh wow, the shade is just gorgeous!!! I can see this being a great lid shade and then maybe with a bit on the high points of the cheeks with a neutral glowing blush! I love the sound of the formula and the design of the product…still remember how great the blushes looked that you reviewed!
