You know how much I LOVED the first Lorac PRO Palette, so when I heard a second was coming out, I jumped on it. The quality of shadows are just like the first one and formatted exactly the same: mattes on the top and shimmers on the bottom. Packaging is very slim and comes with a mirror, making it perfect for traveling.
The mattes are so soft and buttery, but beware, there is fallout. I tap off the excess before I apply the mattes and I make sure to press the pigment onto the lid (don’t swipe!). All the shades are really beautiful, but I wish there wasn’t a black shade and I wish Light Brown was slightly warmer. As a personal preference I like to wear really warm transitional shades (an orangy brown would have been perfect) and the Light Brown was too similar to Taupe from the first palette. I was similarly unhappy with the Black and this time, it was exactly the same color in the Lorac PRO Palette. It’s a little disappointing for me to not have a palette completely unique to the first one, especially when so many already own it.
The shimmers have even better payoff than the mattes, I mean with one swipe you can already see the color’s true potential. All the shadows blend beautifully and can be used wet or dry. Wear time is great too and I find that putting a primer or even a cream shadow underneath makes the eyeshadows pop even more. Valued at $42, this palette comes with a primer (which I don’t care too much about) and is highly recommended to add to your collection!
