L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2 Review & Swatches
If I had to choose between Palettes 1 & 2, this one would be it.
Shocking I know, since I can’t get enough of the nudes, but the colors in this palette have that berry/mauve-y tone that I’ve been digging lately. For all you brown-eyed girls out there, you’re gonna want this since it brings out the golden flecks in your eyes.
This palette has 6 matte shades and 4 shimmers, unlike the Palette 1, which has only 3 mattes. It doesn’t have any resemblance to the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, which I like and I feel like there is much more versatility with this one. The darker plummy tones are perfect for smokey eyes, while in Palette 1, there aren’t many shades I can use for that kind of look (okay, maybe shade # 7 & 8 – but that’s a stretch with my skin tone).
The shadows applied much more creamy and smooth on my skin than Palette 1 and there was a lot more vibrancy to them too.
Also extra brownie points for the sleek packaging + mirror and for including a not entirely crappy brush with the palette.
Defintely grab a hold of this palette if you love your nude-ish toned smokey eyes. This palette also retails for $19.99 and is definitely one of the better drugstore palettes out there.

This looks amazing! I’m a huge fan of purples for blue eyes as well, but the price tag is a bit off putting. I’ve heard it’s over 30$ in Canada, and for a drugstore palette it seems high. Here’s hoping there’s a great deal on it soon!

Oh yes, this one has tones that I prefer over the first palette from l’oreal! I don’t own any matte shades but seeing gorgeous creamy looking mattes like these make me want to own a few! I’m looking towards Urban Decay though for neutral mattes in the future :p Thanks for the review of both palettes, they are drugstore gems!
