Pacifica Power of Love Eyeshadow Palette Swatches & Coco Pure Makeup Removing Wipes Review (c/o)
For any vegans out there, I’ve got THE makeup brand for you.
Pacifica Beauty products are made without any animal ingredients, no animal testing or any other ingredients that are toxic for you (i.e. parabens, phthalates, etc).
Besides the fact that their products are actually cute, Pacifica’s products work and they really do care about the environment – even their wipes are biodegradable and the eyeshadow packaging is recyclable and printed with soy ink.
As part of Target’s Made to Matter program, Pacifica has made a collection called The Power of Love exclusively at Target.
I’ve been using Pacifica’s makeup wipes for years, so when I tried the Coco Pure wipes, it was just as I expected. Each wipe is infused with coconut milk along with jojoba oil and aloe vera to make it extra gentle. It does a pretty good job at removing face makeup, but just like other wipes I’ve used in the past, it’s not the best with eyeliner or waterproof mascara. If you tend to wear a full face of makeup, these wipes probably aren’t the best for you, but I do think these wipes would be handy if you want to freshen up or use after the gym.
Next up, are the eyeshadows. I’m going to be honest, vegan makeup doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to performance in the makeup world. As much as I wished that all makeup was vegan, I use more “traditional makeup” because the pigmentation or longevity just isn’t there with the vegan makeup.
But I was actually pleased with the results when I swatched. These shadows have pretty good payoff for vegan eyeshadows.
Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way and take these eye shadows for what they are. They’re not the most vibrant of shadows and not the most pigmented either but hey, not everyone wants full on pigment for everyday wear. If you’re the girl who likes the au-naturel look and prefers sheerer shadows that give you the option to build up, these are the eyeshadows for you.
They have a good range of everyday colors (with the exception of the turquoise) that I think would suit any eye color and any skin tone.
The texture is so buttery smooth and some shades showed up more on my skin than others. The shade next to the dark purple had amazing color pay off!
One thing that did annoy me was that there weren’t any clear shade labeling…the shades were listed on the back of the box, but I still didn’t know which color was what.
Even if sheerer washes of color aren’t your thing, Pacifica has so many other products that I’m sure you’ll love. Their body butters smell absolutely amazing, along with their perfumes.
But if you’re trying to incorporate more vegan products into your life, definitely give Pacifica a try.
The Pacifica Power of Love Eyeshadow Palette is available for $19.99 & Coco Pure Makeup Removing Wipes are available for $6.99 at Target.

Those eyeshadows look intensely pigmented, and I love the cause behind the brand. If only they were sold elsewhere–Target isn’t in Canada anymore ;(
