Mally High-Shine Liquid Lipstick Pens Swatches & Review (c/o)
These Mally Liquid Lipstick Pens are making me walk down memory lane. I seriously haven’t used a lip gloss pen since high school and I remember wanting them so badly whenever I stopped by Sephora. Does anybody else remember those?
Unless I’m going out or to an event, it might be no surprise that I’m pretty lazy when it comes to precise lipstick application. 85% of the time, I’m usually a swipe and go type of girl when it comes to lipsticks and lip glosses. I just saw a NikkieTutorials video on how to apply liquid lipsticks like a pro and as much as I’d like to do that everyday, I just don’t have the time!
The brush was really helpful with the application, which I find much easier to use than the rounded lip brushes. I was able to get into the corners of my mouth and apply the gloss smoothly around the edges of my lips.
Nude Light and Fuzzy Navel were really light for me to wear and I found that it settled into my lip lines fast.
Orchid turned out to be my favorite and the easiest for me to wear. It provided enough coverage over my lips and the cool-toned purply pink is a great option to wear during the day. While Mauve also worked with my skin tone, I wasn’t a fan of the shimmer mixed with this shade.
Another thing to note is the name of the product, don’t expect it to be a traditional liquid lipstick To me, it’s more of a gloss with medium pigmentation. For the most part, I found the gloss comfortable to wear, but the texture is pretty gloopy if you apply in layers (which I have to do bc of my natural lip color).
For those similar in skin tone to me, unless the color is dark or bright enough, the best way to use these types of glosses is over a lipstick. Not necessarily amaze-balls in my book, but I did enjoy wearing it. I think the price is a little steep for what is it and you can find glosses just as good at the drugstore.
Available in tons of colors for $20 at mallybeauty.com & Ulta.

It’s a shame that these weren’t worth the price, as the first three shades look stunning! I love wearing lipgloss, but I find it so hard to find good glosses at the drugstore over here in the UK! xx
