Next in my bronzer collection are my mattes. True matte bronzers are harder to come by, so when I find one I like, Imma get it. I contour daily and I find that with matte bronzers, the effect is much more natural than glowy bronzers. I even use these bronzers as eyeshadows to give my lids more dimension if I’m going for a “no makeup makeup” day.
This summer, I’ve been using the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, mainly because it smells like yummy chocolate, but the rest of these bronzers are equally great. In fact, the last four are budget bronzers!
If you like your bronzers on the orange/warmer side, the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder is a great matte option, but I’ve been really impressed with the City Color Be Matte Bronzers. Fairer ladies can really benefit from the Caramel Drizzle shade and for those who really like to tan it up can choose from two darker shades.

These all look great! I’m searching for the perfect matte Bronzer for contouring too but my favourite bronzer in general has to be Chanel Bronze Universel! It’s gorgeous!

It’s hard to find a nice matte bronzer for me. Most of the bronzer I see have shiny pigments in it. I finally found one and am loving the one from Sephora now.

I love the Too Faced Snow Leopard bronzer that I’ve had forever. I’m fairly pale, so it’s hard finding a bronzer that isn’t too orangey. Great picks!

I believe Too Faced has a milk chocolate bronzer, which is lighter than the Chocolate Soleil bronzer, hopefully that’ll work for you! Although, the Snow Leopard is very pretty 🙂
I love matte bronzers! I have the NYC and Too Faced one mentioned above. I use the NYC one more since I didn’t get much of a tan this summer [it’s been raining a lot here] I should have gotten the Milk Chocolate version instead… Maybe next time!
