Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color
FINALLY. After searching for these lipsticks at Target, local drugstores, and Ulta, I was able to find these lipsticks at a random Rite-Aid. I only picked up these four shades since some of the pinks were too blue-based and the nudes were too pale for my skin tone. A majority of the shades screamed out Spring and Summer, so I wish they would have came out with more Fall forward shades.
These Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks aren’t super matte like the other drugstore matte lipsticks I’ve recently tried. These are creamier, moisturizing, and more comfortable to wear on the lips. Longevity is not as long as the super mattes, but still really long lasting nonetheless and it beats having parched lips. This lipstick doesn’t emphasize the lines in my lips and doesn’t dry out my lips after a couple hours of wear.
I paid about $8 for each lipstick, which in my opinion is pretty pricey considering they’re drugstore, but then again, Maybelline lipsticks rarely disappoint me. If you can find them at Target, definitely get it there because the price is somewhere in the $5 range.
Application is much easier than the other drugstore matte lipsticks, it doesn’t skip and it hugs the texture of the lips for a smooth application. One layer gives pretty good pigment, but I find adding a second layer is even better to perfect the edges.
If you can get a hold of these, I’d definitely recommend adding these to your collection!

Out of all the drugstore brand, Maybelline is by far my favorite and I will have to check these out. Im very hesitant when it comes to matte but worth a try! This is probably a better alternative than a high end matte!

They need an answer to the Rimmel Kate Moss 107! I’m surprised they didn’t have a more fall color, what a missed opportunity for some bblogger hype haha!
They had a dark wine color, but it wasn’t unique enough for me to buy. They need to step up their game, Rimmel’s matte lipsticks are well rounded! xx
I bought two of these, and have yet to do my review on them. I think the dark wine shade I purchased may not have been the best for my skin tone and a bit too “vampy” for me but I’ll continue trying to make it work (maybe dab it gently on the lips for a slight effect.)
