I heard, I bought, I swatched. So basically this is the drugstore’s answer to the nude palette craze. For a whopping $9.99, you get 12 nude eyeshadows in a good variety: 6 mattes and 6 shimmers. Maybelline also formatted the palette so that the eyeshadows can be grouped as quads, trios or duos, making it pretty easy to create an endless amount of looks. Do I think it’s worth buying? Keep reading!
Packaging: Pretty sturdy for traveling – it comes in a firm glossy black case and it’s slim too. I love it when drugstore products are efficiently packaged!
Pigment: As you can see in the picture above, the pigment wasn’t so great on the matte shades. The medium bronze shade was by far the most pigmented with one swipe and the other shimmer shades weren’t bad either, while the mattes I had to work up to get a decent swatch. I’d say the worst eyeshadows in the palette are the frosty cream shade in the upper left and the black shade in the lower right. I found that with the matte shades, more time is required to apply and blend since you really have the build up the shades. So if you’re usually in a rush when you get ready, this palette may not be for you.
Would I recommend? Not so much, NYX has better quality eyeshadows and shades in similar palettes as well.
Have you tried the Maybelline The Nudes Palette yet? What did you think?

I have a couple Maybelline eyeshadow quads and haven’t found great pigment in them either. I think it’s time for me to move onto NYX! 🙂

I rarely have time to apply a complicated beauty regiment so this would not be a good choice for me. Thanks for a great review
