NARS Audacious Lipstick in Liv

Last year, I remember wanting a dark shade from the NARS Lip Pencil Collection, but it was always sold out at Sephora every time I wanted it!  This time, when the NARS Audacious Lipsticks were fairly new in the market, I placed Liv in my basket immediately.  I tried to find the darkest lipstick shade because I knew I’d get tons of wear out of it and Liv was it.

What I like about Liv is that not only is it very dark in color, but the deep purple-y/plummy undertone is very flattering on my skintone.  I’ve found some dark lipsticks a little too blue or brown and they make my skin look really ashy, but not Liv.

The finish is very creamy, definitely not matte and it’s really easy to apply.  I didn’t experience any skipping when I applied it on my lips and I found that the point on the bullet was really helpful to get into the corners of my lips.  Because my lips are really pigmented, I apply about two coats of the lipstick to get a fully opaque lip.
