NuMe Lustrum Review (c/o)
For the past 4 years or so, curling my hair has been a part of my everyday routine. In its natural state, my hair is bone straight and because my hair is so long, I love the look of voluminous bouncy curls (think Victoria’s Secret hair).
It’s no secret that I wear my hair curly most days but like all hair styles, I like to add some variety. I recently tried the NuMe Lustrum interchangeable curling wand and was amazed that this 5 in 1 set can basically replace all my curling irons.
Each barrel is 100% tourmaline-infused ceramic coated, which means shinier looking curls. The set comes in a carrying case and a heat protectant glove (a must for me!).
To use the curling wand, all you need to do is insert the barrel into the base and twist to lock. The only bummer is not having a customized temperature (I’m not sure what temperature it heats up to), but it gets pretty hot to lock my curls in quickly. My curls always drop slightly throughout the day (in a good way!), but I noticed that with the NuMe Lustrum, my curls stay tighter longer.
I’ve only tried the two largest barrels so far (my hair is too long for the smaller barrels), so for people with hair as long as mine, it may be worth thinking about getting a curling wand with fewer barrels.
I know some girls swear using the curling wand as their style tool of choice, but because I’ve been curling my hair using a traditional curling iron for many many years now, using the curling wand gets some getting used to for me. It’s not the quickest for me to use, but I know once I use it on a regular basis, I’ll get better.

Because my hair is usually already curled, to get ready for events and parties, the quickest way for me to update my hairstyle is by added in two braids and pinning it in the back. I crisscross the braids on top of each other and hide the elastic underneath the other braid before securing it with a bobby pin. Then, I leave some hair out towards my face for some framing.
I’m not the most skilled when it comes to up-dos or technical hairstyles, so this is one I keep in my back pocket and trust me, if I can do it, you can too!
