Pixi Amethyst Amore Nail Polish Review & Swatches
Happy Monday!
Let’s take a second to admire this gorgeous blue. I’m a sucker for cobalt blue shades in makeup, clothes, shoes…basically anything.
Let’s get the negative Nancy stuff out of the way…I’m not fan of the formula. It’s gloopy and thick and I found it hard to apply a thin layer on my nails. My saving grace was the Seche Vite top coat which helped the polish dry in a quickness but without it, I think I would’ve been stuck with wet nails for FOREVER! I’ve experienced this same problem with Pixi nail polishes before, so I don’t think I received a bad one.
The gloopyness is not the end of the world, I could’ve added a bit of acetone in the polish to thin out the consistency. If one coat polishes are your thing, you might like it!
So does the gorgeous color outweigh the disappointing formula? For me, sadly no…my OPI Eurso Euro wins in the color AND formula department.

It’s such a shame that you didn’t like the formula! I have a Pixi polish in a neon pink colour that I bought while I was in the states and love it! I doubt I’ll pick this one up though as I also already have the OPI Eurso Euro which I love 🙂 xx

Besides that thick difficult formula I LOVE this type of blue! So stunning, I’m actually a huge sucker for vibrant blues, shimmery teals and anything in between blue and teal for the nails!

Too bad about the formula but the colour is amazing! Can’t resist a bright cobalt either. 😉
