PÜR MINERALS Double Ego Dual Ended Eye Liner Swatches Review (c/o)
I rarely shy away from my usual liquid liners, so I was excited to try this formula, especially with my hooded sweaty lids (ew!).
The Pur Minerals Double Ego Dual Ended Eye Liners have a liquid marker eyeliner on one side and a mineral liner on the other side, two of Pur Minerals most popular eyeliner formulas.
Except for Madagascar, the mineral eyeliners were pigmented and easy to glide on. I was surprised with how vibrant the colors turned out…usually with colors that bright, it doesn’t translate the same on the skin. However, Madagascar (black gold) was really sheer when swatched, even with multiple swipes and firmer pressure. It was also the only liner with glitter.
I tested out the swatches side by side against my fave eyeliners and these pencil eyeliners did not set, so when I applied it on my waterline, I had to set it with some eyeshadow.
Beware of some breakage as well…I made the mistake of rolling the eyeliner too high up and it broke during swatching. Oops!
I didn’t have much expectation for these but these definitely wowed me. I wore them the entire day, even during my night classes and these did not smudge. The color stayed true the whole day!
The tip was also long and pointed, which made it much easier creating a flick and getting close to my lashes.
However, with the staying power comes the staining. These were really difficult to take off, even with an oily makeup remover. I dealt with green blue eyelids after I did my night routine…
Compared to my usual liquid liners, I still prefer the liquidy ones with a brush vs a marker. It’s much easier for me to do a cat-eye since the brush glides across my lid. I did like the color selection for the Double Ego liners, but it just didn’t meet my basic liner needs.
Available in 8 shades for $21 at purminerals.com and Ulta.com.

I feel exactly the same way about the type of liquid liner I prefer. Queensland is my favorite duo as I just cannot resist a good teal or blue! A brush tip is just so much easier to use then a pen marker type tip!

Yeah! So glad someone agrees with me…it wasn’t as easy to glide the tip across my lid as a brush.
