Rimmel X Kate Moss

I’ve been in a bit of a drugstore kick lately and I’m really late jumping on this bandwagon.  It seems like matte lipsticks have been all the rage this season and I’ve been hearing about how amazing the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks by Kate Moss are.  So I picked up four of her lipsticks, 3 of them are matte.

This is the kind of matte I feel very comfortable wearing.  On the lips, it’s not overly drying like other drugstore matte lipsticks are.  It doesn’t have a completely flat finish, there is a little bit of shine from the moisture of the lipstick, but I like it.  It’s very opaque, which I love since my lips are on the pigmented side.  The non-matte shade (08) felt even more moisturizing and super creamy on the lips.

The regular Lasting Finish Lipsticks have more of a color range (I only picked up 08), which contains nudes, pinks, berries and reds.  The Lasting Finish Mattes only have 5 in the category but are all very wearable for almost all skin tones (minus the 113, a pale nude, which I think will look better on light to medium skin tones).

Packaging feels really sturdy and I like the matte exterior packaging.  It also wears off the lips nicely, I didn’t notice a lipstick halo but after about 4 hours of wear time, my lips started to feel dry.

Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a drugstore matte lipstick.  I picked mine up for $4.49 each and I could see myself wearing these shades for a long time.
