Starlooks Starbox August 2014*

August’s Starbox contained two items: the Liquid Eye Liner in black and the Three Shade Blush Compact in 3B2.  I did some research on each item and value of this box is around $62 if you bought these items separately on the site.  Now let’s move on to what I thought about each product…

Three Shade Blush Compact in 3B2

The pigmentation of the blushes were mediocre and all three blushes swatched very shimmery.  Could be a good or bad thing depending on your taste, but I like my blushes to be more on the matter/satin side.  I breakout on my cheeks sometimes and overly shimmery blushes sometimes highlight the bumpiness. 🙁

I like how the shades are on the more neutral side, making it easier for different types of skin tones to wear this blush.  My fave has to be the blush on the far left since berry blushes are all what I’ve been wearing this month.

Liquid Eye Liner in Black

Next is the Liquid Eye Liner, which I’ve been wearing all month as well.  It’s super black and it lasts a good amount of time on my sweaty eye lids.  The eyeliners that last well on my skin tend to be these types of eyeliners and since I use eyeliners with felt tips, I was quite used to the application of this liquid eyeliner.  My only complaint is that globs of the product build up on the tip when I first take it out and I constantly have to wipe off excess.  I like to start my eyeliners off thin and work from there, but with globs on the felt tip, it gets really hard!

All in all, a really great value for money if you’re looking for an all makeup subscription service that provides full sized products.  Each box costs $15 + shipping and like I said earlier, this box was worth around $62.  The new September Starbox just came out too, so if you’re interested in subscribing, click here.
