Lots of new products tested on this quick trip!
From SF, Napa is only about an hour away, but being there is like being in another world! It’s away from the hustle and bustle and sometimes, all you can see are rolling hills of vineyards. Napa in the summer can get really hot, but luckily, I was blessed with pretty mild temperatures this week. I wanted to treat this trip like a true getaway, so I packed products I’ve never tried before and a few products that I could use when I wanted to pamper myself.

Monday Night
I arrive in Napa midday, so I keep it pretty laid back with my activities. By 9 PM, I start my nighttime routine by removing all my makeup with micellar water. I decanted it into a little bottle (from Daiso) for travel and I’ve been using this as my first step ever since I started getting eyelash extensions regularly. It’s gentle on my skin and with a few cotton pads, I can remove most of my makeup.
But to remove the rest of my makeup, I use this cleanser that I’ve never tried before, Mun Akwi Purifying Cleanser. It looks like a lotion but feels like an oil cleanser with a thicker viscosity. Just take a few pumps and rub it all over your dry face. I jump in the shower and I begin washing off my cleanser. I notice immediately that my skin feels as if it’s been moisturized, which is something so different from the typical cleansers I use. I’m a little unsure of it actually. Then, I use a pump of my eyelash extension cleanser over my eyelashes to make sure I remove any dirt, dust, or makeup that could be in between my lashes.
In the shower, I use a bunch of new L’Occitane products that are perfect for travel. There’s something so relaxing about the smell of L’occitane products and it’s just what I need to get ready for bed. One product that I can’t live without in the shower is a shower oil, so I’m grateful to have this travel sized one with me.
After the shower, I slather on some L’Occitane lotion and begin my skincare routine. I use the L’Occitane toner to remove any extra residue. I take a few drops of the Mun Aknari Brightening Youth Serum, which feels like an oil, and rub it all over my face, avoiding the eye area. Next, I use a nickel sized amount of the L’occitane moisturizer all over my face. I forgot to bring an eye cream with me, so I apply any extra under my eyes.
Tuesday
In the morning, I wash my face again with the same Mun cleanser. SPF is a must for the daytime, especially since Napa was going to be hot that day and I’ve been loving the new Kiehl’s lotion. I keep my skincare pretty simple for the daytime since I don’t want my skin to be covered in products in the sweltering heat.
At night, it’s pretty much the same nighttime routine, except I use a salicylic pad all over my face since I noticed a little bit of breakout near my chin area.
Wednesday Morning
(check out my IG stories for the video!)
After cleansing my face and lashes, I try two new masks: an eye mask and Garnier. I don’t plan on wearing makeup, so why not do a mini pamper session before I leave this beautiful hotel?
I didn’t notice a difference using the eye mask…but my skin did feel really moisturized from the sheet mask though! While I was unsure about using the mask before makeup, my skin soaked up the serum within 10 minutes, so I think it can be suitable to use before wearing makeup.
Once my skin absorbed the serum, I slapped on some Kiehl’s, L’occitane lip balm, and put on eyeglasses and I was out the door.
