I can’t believe it’s already the end of October! Where did all the time go? Although it’s still pretty warm here in California (it was in the 80s just a few days ago), wearing my usual summer-ish makeup just seems silly at this time of the year. I’ve been itching to wear more layers and finally bring out my darker lipsticks. Just like so many of you, I like to refresh my makeup at the beginning of each season and switch out the things I don’t need anymore. So I stopped by Target the other day for their fall beauty trend event to see what they had going on. As you probably know, I love drugstore makeup shopping. It’s like a treasure hunt for me, and I love knowing I can get a good deal there rather than spending tons of money elsewhere. 
When I got there, the ladies at Target Beauty Concierge gave me a mini makeover within five minutes, and we got to chatting about what’s hot this season. 
Of course, I love matte skin and dark lips for fall, but with the strobing trend still going strong, she added some glow to the tops of my cheeks to keep my makeup looking fresh. 
I love that with just three products, I can instantly look fall ready with matte skin, highlighted skin, and berry lips. 
I ended up picking up the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator in Rose, L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator in Rose, Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation in Soft Tan, and Maybelline Color Sensational The Mattes in Burgundy Blush, which I know I will get tons of wear out of this season. I’m particularly impressed with the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation, which matched my skin perfectly (yellow tones and all!). The L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glow Illuminators also came in three shades to match all skin tones.
