A new favorite this month and I’ve been wearing it nonstop. Back in the day, when mineral foundations became a trend, I jumped on the bandwagon hoping it would be my holy grail of foundations. While I loved the finish, I constantly broke out from that foundation and I was always in between shades. The yellow-toned shades were either too light and the tanned shades were way tol pink. Alas, I stumbled upon the TARTE Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation and fell in love. Not only does this match me, it covers all my acne scars, lasts ALL day (no nasty separation), and looks super natural in daylight. I am officially a mineral foundation convert.
Just like all mineral foundations, you need to buff the foundation in. Using any fluffy dense powder blush, I buff the foundation in circular motions around my face, concentrating the powder in areas where I need the most concealing (aka nose and chin). The foundation is pretty matte as it is, but I like to add an additional layer with a mattifying finishing powder. Not sure about the 12 hour staying power that it claims, but it definitely lasts an entire work day.
I. AM. SO. IN. LOVE.
