theBalm Balm Desert Bronzer Swatches & Review (c/o)
It’s beginning to be bronzer season and it seems like there is a continuous release of new bronzers…but I love it!
theBalm’s latest bronzer is Balm Desert that can be used as a blush or a bronzer and it’s formulated to be long-wearing and fade-resistant.
In true theBalm style, it’s packaging is covered in retro drawings and since the packaging is cardboard, it’s really lightweight.
The bronzer also comes with a mirror and has a magnetic closure.
I want to say the bronzer is on the neutral side but it ever so slightly leans towards cool with reddish undertones. Not sure if that makes any sense haha. When I compared Balm Desert to Bahama Mama and Betty-Lou Manizer, it’s an in-between-er. Bahama Mama is definitely on the very cool side with a slight sheen and Betty-Lou Manizer is very warm/orange with tons of shimmer.
There’s a faint luminosity when swatched, but it isn’t noticeable when blended on the face. I’ve used the bronzer to contour and as an overall bronzer and both ways work well. theBalm bronzers can apply strongly, so definitely tap off the excess to keep yourself from looking muddy.
(do you see the reddish undertones too?)
For those who struggle with finding a bronzer that is not too warm or cool, give theBalm Balm Desert a try.
Available for $21 at theBalm.com & Amazon.com.

Oh this shade is soo gorgeous! I totally see the reddish undertone but I don’t think this shade would work well on my complexion. I’ve always oogled at betty lou manizer but knew that I’d never really make a dent in it! And YES, you really need the lightest hand with the face products from thebalm, they are so damn pigmented! I’ve got two instain blushes and they are incredible!

Instain blushes are some of my faveeeees – i have Lace, the barbie pink looking one. Which ones do you have??

I own Houndstooth and Pinstripe! Love how versatile the strawberry pink of Hounstooth is! Pinstripe is more of a plummy metallic shade, I easily go over board with both and love them still!

This shade looks absolutely gorgeous. I only have the frat boy blush from The Balm, but I’m always drawn to their displays. It’s such a fun brand!
