theBalm Balm Voyage 2 Review & Swatches (c/o)
Vacation season is picking up and theBalm Balm Voyage 2. palette couldn’t have come at a better time. At $39.50, this palette comes with 9 eyeshadows, 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer, 2 blushes, and 3 lip & cheek creams.
It’s not the typical “me” palette with nude-y neutrals, but an impressive mix of other neutrals that work for everyone.
I don’t have one bad thing to say about these eyeshadows, each provides something new and valuable to any type of look I would want. I’m particularly fond of the mauve shades (Bienvenue, Benvenuto, Tervetuloa), which I don’t think I’ll ever get over (thanks Kylie Jenner!). Bienvenido, Valkommen, Welkom, & Failte are amazing smokey eye shadows, which are nice change from the usual grays and blacks. Also, let’s not forget Willkommen, a medium satin brown that will be my go-to shade for uber natural looks.
Next, in my opinion, are the winners of the entire palette. I was blown away with how pigmented and gorgeous they apply on the skin (see swatches below). Kuwakaribisha is very similar in shade to Mary-Lou Manizer, but is not as soft and buttery…which I think is good for a travel palette since they won’t crumble in transit.
Croeso is a great matte cool-toned bronzer that can be used to contour cheeks and as a defining eyeshadow crease shade. It reminds me of the Bahama Mama bronzer, but is slightly warmer in tone.
Both blushes are so pigmented that I had to tap off a lot of the product before I applied. There is a faint finely milled shimmer that runs through the blushes that give a super subtle glow on the cheeks.
Bem-Vinedo is a raspberry lip & cheek cream that gives a sheer stained effect, while Vitajte is much more pigmented. I actually preferred the Vitajte much more since I naturally gravitate towards coral types of shades.
The palette also comes with a really useful guide with product combinations to make life super easy while you’re on vacay.
If you’re looking for a travel palette, I highly recommend picking/ordering this one. The highlighter and bronzer are great alternatives to the famous Mary-Lou Manizer and Bahama Mama…it’s definitely a better value for money by picking this palette up than purchasing the full sized version (which I haven’t made a dent in yet!). yaaaas, theBalm does blushes/highlighters right!
Wow definitely keeping this one in mind. I use my Sephora divergent palette for blush, bronzer and luminizer when Im travelling but I love that this has everything else too and that the quality seems so great.
A palette that has everything you need is the best when you’re short on space and I love that they included shades that are super wearable for anyone!
This palette looks gorgeous! I’ve got a few overnight stays planned in the next couple of months (graduate job hunting!) so I’ve been really getting in to all-in-one palettes and this one looks perfect. I usually find that these kind of palettes only have a couple of shades I’d actually use but all of these are really pretty, and I love the summery background! xx

omg, how excited are you to graduate?? I’ll be done with school in the next 8 months (hopefully), and the thought of getting back to real world with work kinda scares me! haha
This palette is sooo pretty! Love the range of shadows and how there’s a few fun shades and all the colors aren’t too dark or there aren’t too many light shades. Thebalm really has churned out some gorgeous travel palettes, I personally would love to own the travel one most!
Girrrrl, I know what you mean! I hate it when palettes have 80% light colors (i.e. the UD Naked Palette Basics) and with my skin tone, they all tend to look the same on me. This palette immediately became a winner when I saw the range of shades and textures.
