Some of the Too Faced Melted Spring 2015 lipsticks (c/o) just landed at The Beauty Vanity office! *Does happy dance*
Out of the 8 new Melted shades, I have Melted Frosting and Melted Strawberry. I have two other Melted shades from their older collection (Fuschia and Nude), so I already knew what to expect. It’s pigmented, long lasting for a lip gloss/lipstick, and really comfortable to wear.
As you can see in the swatches, Melted Frosting is totally not my shade (in fact, it looks hideous on me) and I found that it settled into my lip lines. My lips are super pigmented, so I didn’t expect much from this shade. But surprisingly, it was pretty opaque and with a little work, it could be super opaque on my lips.
Too Faced named Melted Strawberry spot on. I love the blue-red with a hint of pink in it and I found you have to work with the sponge tip applicator to make sure the layer and color is even on the lips. I think if this was packaged with a brush, this lipstick would be 10x harder to apply evenly. I also can’t get over the shine and creamy texture, making it a real pleasure to wear, even during an entire workday. :O

Too Faced are quickly becoming my favourite brand, and I’ve wanted to try their Melted Lipsticks for ages now! Peony is on my wish list at the moment but Melted Frosting looks really pretty. It’s a shame it didn’t work out for you and wasn’t your shade but hopefully it will look better on my super pale skin! xx

Too bad that Melted Frosting didn’t work for you. I really like blue-pinks like that as well, but they look horrible on my skin tone. I guess they only really work for pale blonds?
