Too Faced Selfie Powders Swatches and Review (c/o)
In the world of selfies, here comes a palette just for it. Too Faced’s Selfie Powders palette comes with three shades: Sunrise, a yellow powder, Totally Toasted, a bronzy powder, and Moon River, a lavender.
There’s a slight shimmer running through each of them and since they’re face powders, I like to use a light hand and a very fluffy brush. If the brush is too dense and the powder is applied too heavily, the colors can build up on the skin and start to look fake. Too much of Sunrise will make me look like I have jaundice haha.
So which powder do you use for what?
Sunrise is for brightening or counteracting red. I mainly use these powder under my eyes since I like to look really bright.
Use Totally Toasted when you want an over all bronze. I usually apply bronzer in a “3” motion on the sides of my face, but since I’m a little too tan for this shade, I have to do an all over dusting on my face with a huge fluffy brush.
Moon River is a bit tricky for my skin tone and although it’s supposed to illuminate, I haven’t found a way to apply it on my face that I like. I’ve tried it as a highlighter on the tops of my cheeks but the effect is so subtle.I applied these swatches with a very heavy hand so that the swatches are more pigmented.
Sadly, I would not recommend this palette for those similar to my skin tone. I personally love correctors and correcting powders, but there are so many better ones out there.
For those who are fairer, it might work better for you than me.
For $36, the Too Faced Selfie Powders palette is available at Sephora, toofaced.com, and Ulta.

I’ve been seeing this palette everywhere recently and wasn’t sure if it was just a bit of a gimmick! I still kind of want to try it just because I love everything Too Faced, but I really don’t see how I’d use it! Even on my fair skin, I doubt it would really work 🙁 xx

It’s a bit tricky to use…I’ve been using it for over a month and I’m still trying to figure it out 🙁
