Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Review & Swatches
The Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks were released on June 6th and comes in over 100 shades with 20 shades exclusively at Sephora. There are 6 finishes available:
MEGA MATTE: super-intense matte
COMFORT MATTE: our creamiest matte
CREAM: the original: creamy, badass luxury
METALLIZED: cream with a high level of pearl
SHEER: a punch of color with a sheer, shiny finish
SHEER SHIMMER: slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and a smooth texture
I got to try 4 of the finishes but I was especially hesitant about the Metallized finish (more about that below).
Rock Steady | 714 | Menace | Big Bang
Compared to the other creams, I was disappointed in Rock Steady (Cream) and when I applied it, it was slightly patchy and I had to layer it up a few times to even out the color.
714 (Mega Matte) and Menace (Comfort Matte) were amazing on. The pigmentation was crazy good and from the application, I instantly saw a difference between the Mega Matte and Comfort Matte.
Like the name states, the Mega Matte is very matte and is more drying. Straight from the bullet, the Mega Matte skipped on my lips a little, so using a lip brush was much easier to apply the lipstick.
Comfort Matte is more up my alley, it feels creamier and it applied more smoothly. My lips have texture to them, so the Comfort Matte didn’t highlight my wrinkles and overall, it looked more flattering on my lips.

[Wearing Backtalk]
Naked and Backtalk (Cream) are my two favorites out of lipsticks I received and the texture is gorgeous. The texture is so moisturizing and creamy, which is great for everyday use and is pigmented enough to coat my lips.
Firebird | Pandemonium | Disturbed | Conspiracy
Firebird (Cream) and Disturbed (Comfort Matte) were also easy to apply, but Pandemonium (Mega Matte) was a little patchy.
I actually thought I’d hate the Metallized finishes since it reminded me of the 90s, but I think for the right look, this finish works! In the picture below, I created more dimension to my lips using a lip liner and Conspiracy in the center of my lips. I don’t think I could pull off just wearing a Metallized lipstick by itself since it’s too sheer (and too frosty for my taste), but I love the effect it gives when layered.
[Wearing Conspiracy]
The lipsticks also have great staying power and are really comfortable to wear throughout the day.
Check out the swatches below and feel free to pin it!
