My Perfect Date Night Lip

Valentine’s Day or not, I think it’s important to have that one shade of lipstick that you always reach for, or in my case, an entire color family. 🙂

Depending on the season, the specific product will vary slightly, but the color pretty much stays the same.

I guess you could say this berry mauve is kinda like my lips but better and I know I could pair it with almost any look, making it the perfect color for date nights.  I know my boyfriend doesn’t mind it when I wear brights, but I think this type of color is much more inviting and it wears off so much better (no messy touchups or awkward fading!).

If longevity is what I’m going for (AKA I’m lazy to touchup), these three products never let me down.  The initial application does take some time to get crisp lip lines, but the end result is worth it!  Because these are matte, I have to make sure my lips are exfoliated and moisturized beforehand (check my previous post on how I exfoliate my lips).

If I want a little bit more shine, these are so comfortable to wear!  The pigment is still there, but it just adds a bit of moisture and sheen.

For even more comfort, I’m going to pick a lip gloss or tinted lip balm.  I can apply these two products without a mirror and I know it’s gonna look good.  So if you’re on a no-fuss casual date, a lip gloss or tinted lip balm is a no brainer.
